My grandmother's name often gave rise to confusion because the three dots in the letter چ arguably don't exist in the Arabic language. In Turkish, it's spelled "Cennet" meaning paradise, life after death, heaven. it's spelled Canan (Janan), "Can" means life, Canan comes from the same root as Ali Pasha Hilmi, Photo Ramses Cairo, circa 1920
