weaving into space — Dania Hany

Weaving into space, is an installation made following the same weaving technique applied on paper, through experimenting with different materials and seeing how each material holds up differently. The aim was to repurpose domestic and otherwise everyday materials to create an asymmetrical pattern. Working with big scale, while it initially was for the purpose of having people interact with the installation was then redirected to have the installation take up as much space where it is mounted, to create a multidimensional element to the installation.

This installation was part of Crafted workshop held in Berlin & instructed by Gwendolyn Kulick & Meike Langer.
